WCOPA 2017 Grand Finale Host - Jeff Krapf

The World Championships of Performing Arts welcomes back to the stage Jeff Krapf as the 21st Anniversary Grand Finale Host!

Born in California, Jeff is considered one of the most versatile television hosts in the business. With a proven background in hosting local and national TV shows or on a microphone hosting international Live events Jeff exudes energy, personality, charm and brings a sense quality and charisma that very few people can pull off.

Jeff’s hosting abilities run the gamut from the red carpet to entertainment reporting to hosting his very own late night variety talk show. On top of his current contract as station host for NBC San Diego, he is in pre production with a few projects that will launch late 2017!

When he is not on camera you can find him with a microphone in his hand in front of crowds from a couple hundred to 50,000+ people representing some of the largest brands and events on the planet.

WCOPA 2017 Annual Prestigious Awards

 

WCOPA 2017 Prestigious Awards Nominations

It's time to submit nominations for the many Coaches, Designers and Choreographers who teach our country delegations to compete at the top of the game and empower WCOPA contestants to be their best! These awards will be announced during the Live finale Webcast on July 7, 2017. Project Runway's winner Ashley Nell Tipton will be presenting,

The selection process for the three prestigious awards are as follows:

WCOPA Outstanding Coach - Nominate a Coach tell us how this person invest their time and talents to better their students. This may be an instrumental, vocal, model, acting or dance coach. Submit prior to June 24, 2017.  You may provide up to three photos with your entry by email to: info@wcopa.com

WCOPA Exceptional DesignerNominate a Designer- Submit a sketch, photo of gown/formalwear and description of materials used in gown or formal wear being worn in competition. Contestant wearing the gown in competition must have photo taken at event after competition.  Submit prior to June 24, 2017If available you may submit up to three photos with entry to info@wcopa.com  

WCOPA Outstanding Choreographer - Nominate a Choreographer-person who worked with contestant(s) to choreograph dance for competition. Submit prior to June 24, 2017. Send a video of the dance with name of nominee and student's name(s) to: info@wcopa.com

The WCOPA organization is proud to recognize the excellent talent who support and train our International Worldstars. Please encourage as many submissions as possible from your team and remember entries must be submitted prior to June 24, 2017.

    MICHAEL DAMESKI, 2007 WCOPA junior world dance multi-medalist from Australia, continues to enjoy tremendous success.

    "...When he was 6 years old he entered in his first dance competition the Australian Dance Idol, making the top 10 without any formal training. After that he started training at Glenda Yee School of Dance where he stayed until the decision to move over to Brent Street Studios where he was given the opportunity to represent Australia in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) in Los Angeles, and received gold in each category he entered and overall Junior World Dancer. After WCOPA in 2013 he won the prestigious Australian Dancer of the Year title at the Showcase Australian Dance Championships."

    The show was produced by Australian Peter Oxford (founder) which had him go on to win the US dance title Rainbow Dance in Las Vegas. Dameski was a guest at the Zlatno Slavejce (Golden Nightingale) children's singing festival in Macedonia, at which he recorded a song written especially for him entitled 'One Dance'."

    Since then He has won numerous awards, appeared in various TV series and films. He was the lead in "Billy Elliot the Musical" in Australia, on Broadway and the national tour. In February 2014, Michael appeared on the Australian version of "So You Think You Can Dance" and on 1 May 2014 won the competition, crowned Australia's Favorite Dancer for 2014.

    Currently, Michael is travelling with the first national tour of Newsies as Scab and a Citizen of New York.

    Paula Abdul attended a performance of Disney's Newsies at The Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. Abdul manages Michael (to her right), winner of "So You Think You Can Dance" Australia in 2014
