My name is Joseph Temofe Odika. I was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Odika on the 27th day of July 1974. I am from Delta State, Nigeria. Had my high school education at Victory College, Ibadan, Oyo State, between 1986-1993.
After my secondary school education, I joined a theatre and Dance academy (Odu Thames theater academy) owned by the iconic Bode Sowande. In 1994, I became a professional dancer and performed in various dance drama among which are: my life in the bush of ghost, Circus of freedom square, Mammy water’s wedding and Awole. Under the same academy, I learnt how to write plays and direct stage drama.
In 1996, I became the first youth in my church (St. Richard’s Catholic Church, Ibadan) to be appointed a playwright and director for the yearly catholic youth congress drama competition. In testimony to my competence, my church won several laurels during my tenure as the youth drama director.
In 1998, I went to institution of higher learning to study aviation management at the college of Aviation and management studies, Lagos, due to my interest in Aviation but as fate would have it, I found myself in the fashion industry. I decided to combine the past, present and the future together thus, I founded poloplus ltd. a company with focus on polo promotions, fashion and entertainments.
In 2012, I founded house of Odika, a fashion outfit after years of work with the founder and creative director of Nigeria’s Next Super Model. I also founded Queen of the runway, a model search contest which later gave birth to Rosberry Models which was jointly founded by me and my sister.
