How to Obtain a Visa for WCOPA

Attending WCOPA in the United States requires obtaining the appropriate visa. Typically, participants apply for a B-2 Tourist Visa, as it covers attendance at entertainment events and competitions. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help with the application process. Prior to starting this process check with your National Director/ISC to obtain an official WCOPA invitation and to verify a group interview has NOT been scheduled with the embassy in your country.

Steps to Obtain a U.S. Visa:

Step 1

Determine the Visa Type

Most WCOPA participants will require a B-2 Tourist Visa.

Step 2

Complete Form DS-160

The Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application Form DS-160 must be filled out and submitted on the official U.S. Department of State website.

Step 3

Pay the Visa Application Fee

The visa application fee varies by country, so check with your local U.S. Embassy for the latest fee schedule.

Step 4

Schedule a Visa Interview
